Bring the library you already maintain
A media server organises your collection and makes it available to authorised clients. Odyssey is one of those clients. It does not provide the library, make a private server public or remove the server’s profile restrictions.
Check that the server is reachable from the device that will play it. A useful first test is a film or episode you can already play successfully using that server.
Plex has its own connection choice
The website’s Add source form offers a separate option for Plex. Follow the fields shown for that service and use the source-management guide for the general workflow.
Do not copy Jellyfin or Emby token instructions into a different service’s form. A server account, an API token, an Odyssey management code and a profile identity are different things.
Jellyfin and Emby need the right identity
On the website, select Media server and choose the actual service. Web setup uses an access token and provides a user-ID field. The native app offers separate Jellyfin and Emby forms.
The documented native Emby form specifically explains the importance of the correct Emby User ID for watched status and resume integration. Jellyfin can normally resolve a user from a user access token. See the verified service-specific instructions for these differences.
Silo uses its compatibility service
Enable and use Silo’s Jellyfin compatibility service. Its ordinary website address and its compatibility-service address are not interchangeable.
Web setup expects the compatibility address and a user access token for the intended profile. The documented native Silo flow uses its compatibility-account sign-in format. Do not paste a website password into a field asking for a token.
From browsing to custom channels
Compatible personal-library sources can also be eligible for Channel Studio. The app needs playable content it can inspect and prepare, and the selected profile must be permitted to use it. A title appearing in discovery is not a guarantee of preparation success.
Start with the Channel Studio overview, then use the creation guide to make, review and publish a small first schedule. If you replace the original server connection, review saved source bindings before rebuilding channels.
Common questions
Does Odyssey include a Plex or Jellyfin library?
No. You connect a library you control or have permission to access.
Are Silo’s web and native setup fields identical?
No. The documented web token flow and native compatibility-account flow differ. Use the instructions for the form you are actually completing.
